Former Destiny's Child singer Farrah Franklin was arrested early Sunday morning on a charge of disorderly conduct in Conway, South Carolina, according to police.
The 33-year-old singer was booked at 4:55 a.m. on Sunday and released seven hours later. According to TMZ, Franklin was partying with two NFL players -- Da'Quan Bowers and Ricky Sapp -- the night before and was found lying on a stranger's front lawn in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Sunday evening, Franklin alluded to the arrest on Instagram. "I'm good just hate the dumb media sometimes, but hey this is the job I signed up for. So I respect it. #TurnDownForWhat #TeamFARRAH #GodsChild."
Franklin spent five months in Destiny's Child in 2000 before the group parted ways with her and became a trio. At the time, Beyoncé told MTV's "Total Recall Live" that Franklin had missed several promotional events and concerts, and although she wasn't "kicked out," they decided to part ways. "It wasn’t a management decision, it was a group decision," Beyoncé explained.
Franklin also was arrested for disorderly conduct in 2011, though she claimed to have been a victim of racial profiling in that instance.
