Drunk Man Arrested For Flagging Down A Police Officer Just To Say “Hello”

57-year-old Freddie Levison was driving a Chevy SUV early Saturday morning, when he stopped the officer in a patrol car on the 3400 block of Harlem Avenue.

A man was arrested after he flagged down a police officer in Illinois.Chicago Police said that the man who flagged down the police officer just to say “hello” while driving in Riverside, has been charged with a DUI.

Levison told the officer that he just wanted to say “hello” before he drove away. The officer reported that Levison was driving erratically and failed to maintain his lane.
Police pulled him over and smelled a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. When the officer asked Levison for his driver’s license, he dropped it several times and seemed very disoriented, according to police.
Levison informed the officer that he is paraplegic and therefore was unable to perform field sobriety tests. However, he also wanted the officer to know that he had been arrested for DUI before and his driver’s license was currently suspended for DUI.
Levison was assessed by paramedics and eventually transported to the Riverside Police Department. Police said that he had a blood alcohol level of nearly three times the legal limit.
Levison was charged with two counts of DUI and driving with a suspended license as well as several other traffic violations.
