How Nigerians Got Into The Guinness Book Of World Records

We are proud to present you the Guinness World Records set by our fellow Nigerians. In every age and under various circumstances there is always a possibility to do something awesome!

1. The biggest jersey

The biggest football jersey
Nigeria got into the Guinness Book of World Records for having the biggest football jersey in the world. It appeared at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos and the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt. This thing was to encourage millions of fans of the Super Eagles.



. That jersey had amazing size: 241ft 3in (73.533m) in width and 294ft 2in in length (89.662m). It beat the previous records: 234ft 1in (71.349m) by 259ft 8in (79.146m) created in Turkey in 2009. Therefore, Nigerian jersey was recorded as the largest football jersey in history.
2. Mass tooth brushing

Mass tooth brushing
300,000 students from the 600 public secondary schools in Lagos brushed their teeth simultaneously at different locations. Lagos defeated India who had set the previous tooth brushing record.
3. Long rap free style

Chiddy of Chiddy Bang
It happened in 2011 at MTV O Music Awards in Las Vegas, the U.S.A. Chiddy of Chiddy Bang freestyled for 9 hrs, 18 mins and 22 secs. He made Guiness World Record for the longest rap freestyle. Chiddera Anemege of “Chiddy Bang” officially broke the Guinness World Record for in this nomination.
4. Longest dance recorded

Kafayat Shafau
Kaffy from Nigeria broke the world record in longest dance with a time of 52 hours and 3 minutes. It happened in 2006. Kafayat Shafau is a well-known dancer and choreographer for music videos.
In 2006, she danced her way into the Guinness World Record with her team, Imagneto, at the Nokia Silverbird Danceathon. The renowned fitness and dance instructor, Kaffy has her own dance school.
