Today, September 16, some activists, medical and theatre professionals joined the number of those who are opposed to the resumption date.
They held a rally in Ikeja, Lagos State, to educate the public on the threat of Ebola virus, Sahara Reporters reports.
They carried placards which inscriptions like, ‘It’s not spiritual, it’s a virus be hygienic’, ‘You may not cure Ebola but you may prevent it’, ‘Schools are not car park therefore you cannot drop children at your own risk, no resumption on September 22’.

The rally was led by women’s activist and leader of the Women Arise group, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, who said the resumption of schools without provision of running waters, sanitary items and renovation of school toilets is an invitation to a public epidemic.
